Well hopefully they will both be mindblowing games and each provide a unique experience but i want to help settle a debate to the best of my ability. So lets take a look at some of the area's that both games will be focusing on and try to point out the pros and cons to the games.
I will start with Battlefield 3. Now the Battlefield games have always been badass and Battlefield 1943 is considered to be one of if not the best FPS games. And with Bad Company 2 i was very entertained taking out campers by blowing up the wall they are hiding behind. (something the COD games could use) But it isnt without its flaws so lets see the pros and cons of Battlefield.
Pro's
- New graphics look amazing. (The Frostbite 2.0 Engine Looks Phanominal)
- New storyline
- Realistic (in some respects)
- Multiplayer isnt as populated by ass hats.
- Being able to destroy buildings
- Not an original story. (Iraq, Afghanistan has all been done before)
- Could be focused on explosions rather then character development
- Multiplayer servers might not be up to scratch
Multiplayer
Now there hasnt been a lot revealed about the multiplayer for Battlefield 3 but if pervious Battlefield games are anything to go by then i would say we are in for a treat. The games dont seem to end quickly and it gives you enough time to explore the maps before you encounter a member of the opposing team.
But that being said it does seem to be the latest Battlefield games have been in favour of the snipers more than any other class. Sure you get to roam about and use vieachles and shit but what good is it if you get sniped by a guy on the other end of the map who you cant get to?
All in all i thnk Battlefield will be a fun game with a very epic storyline and great multiplayer but im not completely sold yet.
Modern Warfare 3
Now with Modern Warfare a lot of the previous points apply but it does have a lot fo stuff that i feel Battlefield is lacking. Heres the Pro's and Con's to Modern Warfare 3
Pro's
- Storyline is original and is very cinematic (plus Hanz Zimmer does the soundtrack which is epic)
- Characters have been developed over previous titles but it does look like we will get some new faces.
- Multiplayer has been tried and tested so we know what to expect.
- Spec Ops allows for a different expereince
- Will the story be better than the previous games
- Will the multiplayer community be as annoying as previous games
- Will some weapons be highly overpowered
- Killstreaks could be overpowered
Now with all of the things considered i have decided to split my VS into different sections and consider all secitons.
Storyline - Modern Warfare 3
Multiplayer - Battlefield 3
Graphics - Battlefield 3
Weapons - Modern Warfare 3 ( Modern Warfare wins due to its variety of weapons)
Tactical - Battlefield 3 (The classes and size of the maps provide a more tactical aproach to blowing shit up)
Vehichles - Battlefield 3 (Due to the fact you can drive the Tanks and Jets you use can call in)
WINNER : Battlefield 3
So it looks like Battlefield 3 is the winner of this VS.

ReplyDeleteUnless I think the storyline of CallOfDuty is a lot better that Battlefield 3, so that's a con for Battlefield, but the graphics are awesome and the possibility to enter vehichles like tanks, planes, jeeps and helicopters. Unless, I'm gonna buy bouth because they are bouth AWESOME!!

I think this comparison was well done, good job to the creator of this page. I am just one of many among the sea of indecision between these two games. Both games are great and I think the pro's and con's are correct. I feel as though cod is a lot easier to pick up as a new player than bf is. I personally like cod and I enjoy the storyline and all the cinematics involved in it. However, I tried the bf3 beta and I was blown away by the realism and exceptional graphics. Besides the asthetics of bf3 I found it difficult to play at first. I played the beta frequently and I enjoyed rush but it seemed hard to pick up and be successful, the maps were to vast for a beginner like myself. In cod the maps were of all different sizes with plenty of points of cover to move between. That's my opinion, what's yours?
ReplyDeleteBattlefield 3 is....a game to be speachless about. I often find myself cursing at the screen.. Not because im mad but because im blown away(pun intended). Either Im blown away because of the realism of the game because this game gets INTENSE! And other times im cursing at the screen cuz i did just get blown away by an abrams tank. But thats just it BF3 was meant to be tactical. to go in a house and be smart as if it would be the way you would approach a situation in real life. (Now i dont mean exactly) but for a game its as real as it gets for whats out now. Buttt Modern Warfare 3 is going to be badass as well.. I mean cmon Lets face it NO CALL OF DUTY HAS LET PEOPLE COMPLETELY DOWN. Yea they had ups and downs personally and i think a large amount of people would agree when i say this but Moder Warfare 2 was the best one. Treyarch just didnt do it as big or good as infinity ward.(my personal opinion) But if your looking for a game that just goes for straigh run and gun go with modern warfare 3 because thats what they have all been. always fast paced and campers, and yea infinity ward tried to fix that but if your not playing the mode where you have to get the dog tags to confirm your kill your always gonna have campers. its just what people do to achieve a good K/D ratio. in my eyesgo with BF3.. But that doesnt mean exclude Modern Warfare 3. because im sure both are gonna be jaw dropping and i know im going to pick both up..... Buuttt. -GET SKYRIM- haha
