Hey guys Josh here with a bit of interesting news. So it appears the streaming giant of the US of A is moving over seas to us in the UK. Will it be another Quickster? find out below.
So it appears Netflix wanted to branch out to an audience crying out for a decent streaming source that was legal and not too expensive (here's looking at you zune) So Netflix have announced they are bringing their streaming service to the UK and Irish Republic some time next year.
Netflix said it would provide a subscription service in the UK
offering unlimited TV shows and movie streaming over the Internet. The company said further details about the service, including
pricing and content will be announced closer to launch in early 2012. It recently expanded its subscription streaming service to
Canada and is reportedly looking to launch in other European countries (so don't bitch about being left out France)
But its not all smooth sailing for this branch out as the UK already has Love Film which our very own Chris is a member of. But with Netflix being exclusive to the Xbox i don't think the competition will be too fierce (but here's hoping it causes them to battle for the lowest price)
But Netflix does face competition with other audiences. Google is expanding its film rental offerings via its YouTube
channel, while Apple offers film and TV show rentals on its iTunes
platform and with Sky, Virgin and BT also increasingly offering on-demand services it might be harder than they originally thought.
So what do you guys think? Will you sign up on day 1 for you Xbox streaming?

Now Loading...Stubbs The Zombie
Hey long time Internet. Josh here after a short break bringing you another Now Loading.. This time we are taking a look at a game that was released on PC and Xbox. Stubbs The Zombie was a great fun game that used a game engine from a pretty big tittle ( here's a clue it rhymes with Halo ) wait.....Anyway here's the story.
Eddie Stubbs is a travelling salesman in 1933 He temporarily finds happiness with a girl named Maggie Monday, but he meets his unfortunate end when Otis, Maggie's father comes home, chases him outside, and shoots him, leaving him to die. Years later in the fictional city of Punchbowl, Pennsylvania at its opening ceremony in 1959 (but somehow they have hovering cars and shit). the city, founded by Andrew Monday, Maggie's son, has been built directly on top of Stubbs' not-so-final resting place. Stubbs rises from his grave as a zombie and decides to get his revenge by eating the brains of the inhabitants of Punchbowl, quickly creating his own army of the undead, causing increasing amounts of havoc as the zombies clash with the various militant factions of the area.
Here's the trailer.
The main reason Stubbs The Zombie worked was because the game was a labour of love and that shines in every hilarious cut scene and movie reference. The game plays well with a lot of cool things you can do to even out the playing field against the small towns strangely infinite army. The game had mixed gamplay meaning one minute your driving a garbage truck the next your having a dance off with the chief of police which is why i think this game was great. It did so many things right and gave the player so many experiences and wasn't afraid to mix things up rather than being stuck with the same repetitive gameplay.
Also the soundtrack wasn't half bad. The theme was classic 1950's songs done by modern bands with a modern twist to them to go with the theme of the futuristic world. I have to admit a few songs have even managed to stay put on my Ipod after all these years (Mr Sandman, Lollipop and Earth Angel to just name a few you should check out)
So to end this Now Loading... Stubbs The Zombie was a great game that's well worth buying on Steam, Xbox games on demand or even fishing out an old copy and busting out "The Duke" controller and your old Xbox. If theres a game that needs a sequel or a HD remake with achievements Stubbs is begging literally begging for it.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Four Minute Trailer
Hey. Chris here bringing you the new trailer for David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. This trailer is a big one and shows a lot of footage. We also see dialogue and more of the story. For those who know nothing about the original film and book, this trailer will help you.
Personally, I can't wait for this film. Fincher is one of the best directors out there right now and him doing a film like Dragon Tattoo is perfect. The original film had problems and I hope Fincher fixes them with his adaption. Everything from the cinematography to the acting looks great. Be sure to check out The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo when it hits cinemas on the 26th of December.
So what do you think of the trailer? Looking forward to it? Are you a fan of the book or the original film? What's your take on David Fincher? Drop a comment below, let us know! Thanks.

Drive Review
Nicholas Winding Refn's Drive bursts onto the screen with a tense and ferocious getaway sequence that will go down in history as one of the best get getaways sequences of the past twenty five years. The film itself is a brooding, nerve racking art house thriller that is an instant cult classic, it's also the best film I have seen this year so far.
Drive is set in Los Angeles and follows The Driver (Ryan Gosling). A stunt driver for movies who moonlights as a getaway driver for the cities dirtiest criminals. He's quiet and methodical and akin to Clint Eastwood's Man With No Name. He speaks with his facial expressions. Driver becomes involved with his next door neighbour Irene (Carey Mulligan). He also, through working with Shannon (Bryan Cranston) at a garage, becomes acquainted with local gangsters Bernie Rose (Albert Brooks) and Nino (Ron Perlman). Irene's husband Standard (Oscar Isaac) returns from prison and owes some bad people a lot of money. Driver decides to help Standard get the money that he needs, the job goes wrong and the Driver falls into a world of gangland violence.
To me, Drive is the best film I have seen this year. Everything about the film is so brilliantly constructed. The performances across the board are great, with Gosling and Brooks standing out as early oscar contenders. Gosling's performance is so reserved, holding long pauses and conveying everything through facial expressions. Brooks, is haunting and brutal as Bernie Rose. What really throws me off guard, is when a comedy actor does a serious role that is really terrifying. Brooks voiced Nemo's Dad in Finding Nemo and to see repeatedly stab someone in the throat is quite unsettling.
The construction and directing in Drive is top class. I have been a fan of Refn's for years and I am glad Drive is what it is. More people will get to see how much of a master storyteller Refn is. Every frame so delicate, every scene positioned perfectly. Drive starts with a great getaway, then slows down and sets the story. For a while, everything is calm and tense. The build up is long and arduous, but then the films explodes into a final act that is violent, gory, shocking, powerful and excellent. The violence in this film is horrific, even more horrific because the fourty minutes at the beginning was so peaceful. It really takes you by surprise. All I will say is "Elevator Scene" . Even though the action is frequent and fast, it is high class action. Not your usual explosion filled summer blockbuster. The action is a lethal component at the heart of Drive's engine.
Another great attribute to Drive is it's electronic score and soundtrack. Cliff Martinez is on great form here and the selection of songs that Refn chose are brilliant. Set the electronic score to the nightlife and skyline of LA and you do have something truly mesmerising.
Drive is strictly European, it has European sensibilities. Long silences and focus on facial reaction. Some people might not find that enthralling and might think it's boring. I thought the slow burn was a great build to a relentless final act and worked fine. But some people may be put off by the art house direction. The trailers for this film have been really misleading, they promise more action than the film actually offers. Which is unfair to people who will expecting Fast Five. Fast Five, this is not.
There is only one problem I had with the film and it is very minor. It's Carey Mulligan undertaking the role of Irene. She doesnt handle the role badly, shes a talented actress. It's just that I never for one second believed she was the character, she seems very upper class in real life and plays those roles in other films and to me she looked awkward in the role of a working class mother.
Like Luc Besson did in the 90's with Leon: The Professional. Nicholas Winding Refn has blended his European code of conduct with the Hollywood film making method and it works a treat. Filled with superb performances, a brilliant soundtrack and violence that is enthralling. Drive is a special movie, that will be looked back on in years to come with such high regard. It will also be looked back upon as Nicholas Winding Refn's film that put him on the map.
9.5/10
Thanks.

Fall Movie Preview: Part One
Well, summer is over and my Summer Movie Preview went well, it got a few views and now I have decided to do a Fall Movie Preview. Yes, I know, I'm from the UK and we don't say Fall. But, meh! I do what I want. So yeah, This piece like the Summer Movie Preview will be split into two parts. There are a lot of great films coming in the next few months and things look more optimistic than the past summer. Many of the Oscar contenders will feature on the preview and most of the films that are released in Fall are usually better than the banal sludge of the summer. So let's start this rundown!
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy
Tomas Alfredson's follow up to the 2009 Swedish Vampire masterpiece Let The Right One In sees him tackle the classic novel John Le Carre. With an all star cast including Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, John Hurt, Mark Strong, Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch playing spies in the cold war era, the story takes the characters all over the world looking for the mole that is embedded into there agency. If any film had the cast that TTSS has, I would be excited. Then add in Tomas Alfredson who's last film LTROI was my favourite film of 2009 and the first two trailers for TTSS and that altogether makes me very excited for this film. I cannot wait!
Drive
One of the most exciting directors around right now is Denmark's Nicholas Winding Refn. His films Bronson and Valhalla Rising are amongst my favourites of the last few years. The director has a great eye for beautiful frames and the way he portrays violence on screen is all but masterful. His latest film Drive sees Ryan Gosling as The Driver, a stuntman by day and a getaway driver by night. A job goes wrong and The Driver is dragged into an underworld of crime. With a great cast involving Bryan "Badass Walter White" Cranston, Carey Mulligan, Ron Perlman, Christina Hendricks an Albert Brooks. Drive looks brilliant and I will be seeing it in the next few days, so look out for my review.
Warrior
Real Steel
The Ides Of March
This film has "OSCAR BAIT" written all over it. Starring George Clooney, The Ides Of March follows Clooney as a Democratic Candidate to the Presidency, Gosling is his assistant and mastermind behind his campaign. Clooney also directs the film and he is a favourite with Oscar voters. I will watch the film just for Gosling, he's a great actor and is an instant screen presence. the rest of the cast includes Paul Giamatti, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Evan Rachael Wood and Marisa Tomei. I'm not completely excited about this film. But I will watch it.

Red State
Kevin Smith takes a huge detour from his usual thing to direct a horror thriller based on the cult religious monsters "West Borough Baptist Church" . Red State follows three sex obsessed teenagers who reply to an ad online that is looking for three men to have a foursome with a lonely woman. They set it up and head out to a trailer were they meet Melissa Leo's character Sarah Cooper. They are drugged and wake up in the compound of The Five Points Church led by Pastor Abin Cooper. From the trailers this film looks really interesting and it seems like Michael Parks owns the role of Abin Cooper.
Melancholia
Lars Von Trier is one of the most outspoken directors around today. He goes to Cannes nearly every year and says outrageous comments like "I'm the best director in the world" and "I may have some Nazi in me". He loves controversy. But his films are hit and miss for me. His latest film looks pretty insane. The cast is pretty impressive, Kirsten Dunst stars in the apocalyptic drama that revolves around the wedding of one of two sisters, whilst Earth collides with a rogue planet. The film looks interesting and strange. I will be sure to catch it when it hits theatres in the next few months.
Warrior
If I were to have a Achilles heel of film. It would be sports drama, it doesn't matter how cliched they can be. I just love it and fall for it. Remember The Titans starring Denzel Washington is one of my favourite films. So, Warrior directed by Gavin O'Connor and starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as MMA fighters. Warrior follows the two men in there journey through an MMA tournament. The story is a story we have seen a thousand times, but it's the performances I am looking forward to. Tom Hardy was great in Bronson and Joel Edgerton was equally great in Animal Kingdom. Warrior should be entertaining!
The Three Musketeers
I'm not personally interested in Paul W.S Anderson's latest screen belch. He's a hack of a director, it's in 3D (Pointless), it has Orlando Bland, I mean Bloom. It just looks incredibly stupid. I don't want to see this film, but I had to include it. It is considered one of the major films coming out in the next few months. But, it looks terrible! So I shall not continue.
Real Steel
Hugh Jackman, giant robots boxing, in October you say? This sounds like it should be next to the summer blockbusters like Harry Potter and Transformers. But it's not. I'm gonna be honest. I have no desire to see this film. It looks silly and directed at kids. Sure it could be fun, but for now. I'm not too excited.
Contagion
Steven Soderbergh is apparently retiring soon. He is bowing out with a series of films. Contagion is the beginning of the end at it looks great. It takes a realistic look at a virus outbreak. The film also has a stellar cast. Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bryan Cranston and John Hawkes. So many Oscar winners and nominees. The trailer is really effective in portraying the horror of a virus. I'm really looking forward to this film, I hope it's great.
Tintin: The Secret Of The Unicorn
The famous European children's comic finally makes it's way to the big screen. Steven Speilberg and Peter Jackson bring Tintin to the silver screen. With the technology used in James Cameron's Avatar. Speilberg and Jackson aren't going for realistic CGI characters, they want the film to lok like the original comics. Add in a score by the legendary John Williams, a script written by Edgar Wright (Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz), Stephen Moffat (Matt Smith's Incarnation In Doctor Who) and Joe Cornish (Attack The Block). This film is looking hard to resist. The trailer isn't brilliant, but conveys the tone of the film. An with the people involved, I'm definitely going to be seeing this film.

Roland "Disaster Movie" Emmerich takes a detour from his usual forte and directs a historical thriller that ponders whether William Shakespeare actually wrote his most famous plays. Yes, it sounds very silly and it's directed by a man who's last film had a limousine driving through a collapsing building. But, the film has hit some festivals and early reviews indicate it's a good film which shocks me. Apparently it's a tense thriller that is a good romp and is not like anything Emmerich has done before. I'm willing to give this film a chance. Hopefully we get a fun film.
Well, that's the end of the part one. Eleven films to sink your film going teeth into. There are blockbuster, bait and bloody horror. For me, out of these eleven films. The ones I am most looking forward to are Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy and Drive. Be sure to look out for Part Two of my Fall Movie Preview next month sometime.
Thanks.

Left 4 Dead The Movie
Hey Josh here with some news on the fan made Left 4 Dead live action movie. So before we get too far into this i feel i should give some back story.
A couple of years back a group of hardcore fans of Left 4 Dead decided to make a full length live action movie and release it online FOR FREE. The only problem was they had no budget and they wanted it to be a good standard or it wasn't worth doing. So they asked for other fans to donate and they will get mentions in the credits and will be providing the film with a decent budget to do it right. A trailer was made to show people that they where serious and even set photos, concept drawings of the Tank and even posters began to surface and things died down again. Until now.
Here's the original teaser trailer.
Here's the poster.
So here's the latest video released showing pre-outbreak stories to each character and we kick things off with my favorite (and fan favorite) Bill.
So what do you think? I have to admit I'm pretty hyped about this and it just goes to show the passion people have for video games where fans will pay other fans to create stuff for the fans for free *insert Inception noise here*
Be sure to keep checking back here for updates on this fan project and we will keep you ap to date.

Devil May Cry HD
Hey Josh here. Been a while since our last post and its not that we have gotten lazy its just there isn't that much big news to report on but never fear we have some new news on Devil May Cry. Don't worry if your a hardcore fan (like myself) I'm not talking about the reboot D.M.C, I'm talking about the original trilogy being re-released for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
Now if you didn't play the first three Devil May Cry games then your missing out on a big franchise that some would say revolutionised the hack and slash genre in gaming. Read up on this series here
So the folks over at the ESRB ( the guys who rate video games ) may of accidentally let slip some super secret project Capcom is working on. On their website they have recently posted the first 3 Devil May Cry games with a M rating for mature audiences which i admit isn't big news. But its the playable platforms section that got people talking. The listed platforms where Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and PC. So it appears Capcom will be re-releasing the first trilogy in HD a lot like Konami is doing with the Metal Gear Solid series.
A release date isn't set yet and Capcom are playing dumb for now but odds are it will be out for or just after the 10th anniversary of the first Devil May Cry game which was released in 2001 which is becoming a big trend in video game companies. Meaning keep checking back for any more news on this and pray this is as awesome as we think it will be.

Gears Of War 3 Opening Cinematic
Hey Josh here with some news on Gears Of War 3. So the guys over at Epic recently had a party to celebrate the fact Gears Of War 3 is now golden. Which for you people who live under those rocks would say "the game is done" They've started printing disks and boxes and will be sending some lucky sites early releases to share their views and Epic if your reading this? We want to be on that list you magnificent fuckers.I got to play the Beta for the multiplayer and it was as fun as ever but now i get to run up and impale people with shit which is slightly more cooler than hiding around a corner and shotgunning anyone who walks past.
So to celebrate the fact Gears Of War 3 is golden they have released the opening cinematic which follows a familiar voice and gives a face to the name/voice. Also it gives a brief recap for those of you who missed out on the other two games for whatever reason (which had better be a good one) Anyway here's the intro. Enjoy.
So there you go. Looks like the story is coming to a close and many questions will be answered. will the locust die? will the humans die? will everyone die? will Baird still piss me off to no end? and the biggest question for many. Will Carmine die?
Time will tell.

Lillipop Chainsaw Announcement Trailer
Hey Josh here giving you the first trailer for Lollipop Chainsaw. A cute girly game that has you use your chainsaw to saw zombies in half in a creative and sexy manner lets check it out shall we.
This game looks utterly insane. Its the brain child of Suda51 who i can only guess is one more insanely brilliant blatantly sexy game away from being a registered sex offender. From what i can gather from this trailer you are a cute cheerleader called Juliet who is a chainsaw swinging short skirt wearing undead slayer. ( no doubt the chainsaw will have a sexual name ) She has to slice through armies of the undead in her school and neighbourhood. Its from the team that gave us Shadows Of The Damned. A game with a weapon called and i kid you not "The Boner" which actually makes you call up an undead sex line to get him going and turn him into "The Big Boner" who is conveniently placed at crotch level as you fire it (subtle). Anyway Lollipop Chainsaw looks like its following in the same footsteps but with more of a target audience of pervs. I may have to give it a try for you guys. FOR SCIENCE!
Comments below when your done fapping you filthy animals.
This game looks utterly insane. Its the brain child of Suda51 who i can only guess is one more insanely brilliant blatantly sexy game away from being a registered sex offender. Cry Baby Lane Found!
Hey Josh here bringing you some interesting news on a long since speculated urban legend. Cry Baby Lane was a film long speculated to be just an urban myth created by the Internet. But thanks to Reddit that's no longer the case.
The film has been tracked down by one of the few people in the world who recorded the film on VHS. For those of you who are too young to remember Cry Baby Lane was a film released on Nickelodeon for Halloween in the year 2000 which got a fair amount of complaints from parents who 's children and teenagers saw the film and found it too scary. The film was covered up so well and nearly forgotten about that people began to wonder if it was just an urban myth passed around to kids. For some people now the film may not look all that scary but imagine being a young teen before DVDs and online torrents where available to almost everyone.
Anyway the plot of the film is this:
Andrew and his older brother Carl enjoy listening to ghost stories that the local undertaker, Mr. Bennett, tells them. One night Bennett tells the tale of a local farmer whose wife gave birth conjoined twins, one being good-natured while the other was clearly evil. The farmer, ashamed of them, kept the twins locked in their room. Eventually the twins got sick and died together, so the farmer sawed them in half and buried the good twin in a cemetery and the bad twin in a shallow grave near the house. Later, Andrew and his friends decide to hold a seance in the cemetery where the good twin is buried, but they unintentionally awaken the bad twin instead. Gradually, the bad twin possesses nearly everyone in town, and it is up to young Andrew to stop him.
The film had a lot of dark tones to it.
- Raising the dead.
- Sawing conjoined twins in half.
- Being possessed by a ghost.
- Too many bad wrestling references.
- The same bass line that gets repeated throughout the film.
My point being the film was a big impact on audiences and left a lot of now adult viewers scarred for life. The film has been uploaded to YouTube and should be finding its way onto torrent sites soon enough which i don't have a problem with seeing as piracy has helped the world see this otherwise lost film again. If Nickelodeon had sense and the original tape they should be working on a DVD release or even an airing next Halloween.
Anyway find the film. Watch it. Enjoy it.

Now Loading ... Rayman
Hey Josh here with another nostalgic look at our beloved childhoods. This time we are going to be looking at Rayman, the first one before the sequels where those fucking rabbits came into it and raped our childhoor for all it was worth. But with the Rayman Origins coming to consoles soon i decided it was about time i covered this game.
So now that's out the way we can get stuck into it. Rayman was a game most people will remember for being on the PlayStation before Wii got their hands on the franchise and made the raving rabbid games. The main story to the game is Rayman lives in a world where nature and raymankind live together in peace all because of this magical ball (the great protoon) that gives off happy feelings. But one day the evil and rather ingeniously named Mr Dark shows up ( I shit you not that's how creative they are ) He defeats a powerful fairy and steals a few of the ribena berry's for good measure and sticks them in cages. This is when we meet our hero who is chillaxing on a beach when he is asked to answer the call of duty.
Here's the intro:
So Rayman sets off on his adventure and gains new abilities and befriends a few bosses along the way. One of which looks oddly like a penis (not naming who but i will include a picture)
The levels where creative and amazing and the enemy's where strange and like a mix of poachers and super Mario bad guys. Rayman like a lot of the games back in the 90's was a side scroller with aspects of 3D. you started out with the ability to throw your levitating fists and if need be charge it up to cause more damage. in the levels you had to break free the ribena Berry's and gather all the energy you could ( like the coins in Mario )
Here's the first level:
The levels where different and always introduced something new to keep you on your toes and always provided you with interesting backdrops that at some times completely immersed me in the game and helped me lose myself in the level and no matter how many times i heard it at the end of a level the "YEAH" always made me feel like i did a good job even if i died countless times on that one berry that i couldn't land on properly. Anyway my point being the game was brilliant, bright colours and silly storyline for the kids and a feeling of nostalgia for the now grown ups who play the game again. I only hope that Rayman Origins doesn't fall flat on its face like the other Rayman games did and captures the same spirit this game has. Including the "YEAH" at the end of a level.

Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Review
The Planet Of The Apes franchise has seen highs and lows. The first two installment's were brilliant and took audiences on science fiction adventures. Some installments took a more childish route and focused more on the comical sides. But the franchise hit it's lowest when Tim Burton bastardised the Apes in ways that offended me. Marky Mark? Really? Anyway, now we get the latest installment of monkey buisness. Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes arrives on screens ten years after Planet Of The Apes, butchered by Tim Burton. It's a prequel and a reboot, so I shall call it a Requel! An this Requel is fantastic!
ROTPOTA is set in the modern day and tells the story of Will Rodman (James Franco) who works for GEN-SYS. This company and Will in particular have been trying to find a cure for Alzheimer's. When an experiment involving a chimpanzee called Bright Eyes goes wrong, Will's project is cancelled by his boss Steven Jacobs (David Oyelowo). Bright Eyes is killed and the rest of the chimps are put down, but Will finds out that Bright Eyes had a child and decides to take it home. Years pass and Will and his father Charles (John Lithgow) are looking after Caesar (Andy Serkis), the chimp is older and much more advanced than the average chimp. We see the rise of Caesar and The Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.
As a fan of this franchise, after suffering for so long. This movie is lifeline Apes fans have been waiting for. Director Rupert Wyatt takes the subject seriously, he doesn't try to make it fun. He concentrates on the story and the story is great. The character's are honed to perfection. Caesar in general, is not only a brilliant CGI character, not only the best character in the film. But Caesar is one of the best characters this year! Sure, the film has action. But this isn't Transformers, it's not mindless and dull! This film spends time on story and characters, leaving the last thirty minutes for spectacular action set pieces were you actually care about the characters.
It started with Gollum, peaked with Avatar and has now matured with ROTPOTA. The motion capture in this film is mind blowing, after ten minutes I forgot they were computer generated characters. The technology has really hit it's peak and Andy Serkis's performance in this film is superb. His mannerism's and his facial movements bring so much realism to the character. For a character who doesn't speak, so much emotion is portrayed. Caesar is the main character without actually speaking, he communicates through sign language.
The movie isn't perfect but it's pretty close. There were two things that took some of the greatness away. The film could of been longer, obviously this is me just wanting more of something great. But I wish the film would of been around two hours long. The second, being the score. Patrick Doyle did a nice job. There were parts that were just great. But I wanted more epicness- to some of the scenes and the music didn't deliver. Also, some of the supporting cast cause problems. Freida Pinto is beautiful and perfectly okay in the film but she needed more screen time. Brian Cox was a nice addition, but I wanted more from him too. Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy serves one purpose. Getting the comeuppance he didn't get in Harry Potter, but the boy can't act and he has already been typecast as a puny, annoying character who is basically a little shit!
Summer 2011 has seen ups and downs, mostly downs. Franchises have ended, been rebooted and begun. But the summer saved the best till last. Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes is a great example of what a Summer Blockbuster should be. Exciting, entertaining unashamedly fun. It has a compelling story, interesting characters and themes, emotion and rousing action that will please the general audience. For fans of the franchise, it's hopefully the beginning of something great. Hopefully Rupert Wyatt gets the chance to expand on his ideas and that Fox gives him the freedom and money to do so. Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes is not only a great summer movie but it's also one of the best film's I have seen this year!

Modern Warfare 3 Spec Ops Survival
Hey Josh here with more news on Modern Warfare 3. So it appears Infinity Ward have released a trailer for COD's answer to horde mode.
Here's the trailer:
So what do you think? To me it feels like its the Combat Training from Black Ops but with a bit more attention on the game play and where the bots spawn and what you can do in terms of killstreaks. This has gotten me slightly more excited for this game.

The Dark Knight Rises Official Catwoman
Hey Josh here with our first look at Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises. This is an official still that has been released and is sparking rage amongst the die hard fans that are always hard to please.
Here's the still.
So what do you guys think? Personally i don't mind it. I always knew from the start Nolan would have a realistic approach to Catwoman and have her as a female version of Batman who has almost all his gadgets. I think the hi tech goggles look great and keep it grounded and realistic and gives them a purpose rather than just a look to the costume. The only thing I'm missing from this is cat ears. A small touch i know but it would add so much add so much to the character and help the not so bright movie goers that it is Catwoman and keep the fan boys happy.
So what do you think on her costume?

Borderlands 2 Announced
Hey Josh here giving you news on the sequel to the amazingly insane game Borderlands.
So its now been officially announced that 2K have started work on Borderlands 2 and apparently have been for a while and did well to keep it quiet. They have said that there will be a playable demo for fans to play at the upcoming PAX convention.
Along with this revelation a few other details have been released and speculated. Such as new vehicle's and new characters and classes. Lets have a look.
So we have the new one new character so far who is known as the Gunzerker so hes a mix of soldier and berserker by the sounds of things and it looks like he will be using some huge guns that other players cannot equip.
As we can see in the Game Informer cover theres something in the backgorund. Jets
So perhaps we get more than just the cars from the first game and a new way to see Pandora.
So what do you think? I was a big fan of the first game and cant wait to revisit Pandora and see what changes have been made to the wasteland and what new inhabitants are there. Fingers crossed the game will be as good as the first.

First Official Picture Of Superman Man Of Steel
Hey Josh here bringing you the first official picture of what Henry Cavill will look like in Man Of Steel.
So what do you think? Snyder promised a faithful costume that would be like the comics but add a few more modern looks. No sight of the red underpants on the outside as of yet so maybe they are going with the reboot look to Superman.

The Dark Knight Rises Bane Set Pictures
Hey Josh here giving you some set pictures of The Dark knight Rises. Showing Bane in his new Nolan costume which is more functional rather than fashionable. Check them out.
So there you go. A better look at Bane's costume which shows us its more of a military combat style attire rather than the Mexican luchador mask. I have to say the more I'm seeing of Nolan's Bane the more I'm warming up to the costume alterations.

Captain America: The First Avenger Review
To me, Captain America has always been a comic book property that looked like it was too hard to convert to the big screen. I just thought it would look silly. The suit is basically a man draped in an American flag. So I had hesitations when I heard that Marvel were making a Captain America movie. But they had to do it, they couldn't leave him out of the long awaited Marvel dream team movie The Avengers. So, the summer is almost over and after four comic book movie already this year we have Joe Johnston's Captain America: The Avenger! (CA:TFA)
Set in the 1940's. CA:TFA follows the Brooklyn everyman Steve Rogers. A skinny, weak but courageous man played by Chris Evans. After enlisting many times for the United States Army and being rejected, Rogers is approached by a German scientist working for the Americans, Dr Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci). Erskine enrolls Rogers in the super soldier programme headed up by Colonel Chester Phillips (Tommy Lee Jones) and Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell). Rogers is injected with the serum and becomes a super strong, super fast and a super buff all American soldier. Now as Captain America, he must take down the forces of evil, mainly Johann Schmidt/Red Skull (Hugo Weaving). An evil scientist who leads the HYDRA division for Hitler and Germany. But Red Skull has bigger aspirations than winning WWII, he wants the world!
I went into Captain America with big reservations, I didn't think Cap could ever convey to the screen. But Johnston and his team have did a great job with this character. They get tone perfect, they created a fun, enjoyable summer blockbuster. Sure it is cheesy in some points but that doesn't hurt it. It's not trying to be The Dark Knight, it sets a good balance of serious and playful and never lets the two cross paths. The performances across the board are good across the board. Evans, Jones and Weaving are the standouts. The action is well constructed and never feels boring. The story is standard but the film doesn't need a memento-esque story take it places it doesn't need to go. The script has it's problems but does every it says on the tin.
The score by Alan Silvestri is rip roaring and entertaining. It fits the film perfectly, the costumes and the production design take the film right into the 1940's. The film does have it's problems, it does sometime over do the cliche. But that was just me. The film runs for just on two hours and it doesn't drag but there is a brilliant action montage near the middle which is sweet just as it is sour. It's so awesome, yet I wish it would of been longer or maybe one or two the sequences in the montage would of been further explored. I also wasn't a fan of Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, she wasn't bad but she wasn't really that good. The character itself felt like a blank page.
As part of the Marvel Universe that has been expanding over the past few years, CA:TFA is a great contribution. It's just as good as Thor and really has me excited for next year's Avengers. I really didn't think Marvel could pull it off. I thought there would be a cog in the machine, I thought Cap would drag the team down but he didn't. All the pieces are set for the most audacious movie blockbuster ever. To bring so many characters together, which have been set up in so many films, it's never been done before. I hope Whedon can pull it off, he has the credentials.
CA:TFA is old fashioned summer blockbuster and that is it's best strength. It feels like a mixture between Raiders Of The Lost Ark and The Rocketeer. The action is great, the performances are fun and the overall product is an enjoyable summer roller coaster! No need for 3D though, so don't waste your money.
8/10
Thanks.
Chris.

The Amazing Spiderman Official Trailer
Hey Josh here with another comic book trailer. This time we get a look at the reboot of Spiderman.
The trailer got leaked a couple of days ago and we here didnt want to run the risk of it being pulled down and dissapointing you so we waited for a HD release online. Enjoy.
So there you have it. We are in store for a realistic, darker more serious Spiderman and i have to say im very excited. The trailer shows it is not just another Superhero film and is trying to give the charcter more of a back story. They have tried multiple things to get as far away from Raimi's Spiderman films as possible (web shooters, new costume, no mary jane) and its working. Gwen Stacey is not just a pretty face, she looks like she has an actual role in the story and the fact i noticed she is wearing an Oscorp labcoat made me slightly nerdgasm.
The first person scene looked slightly off but im guessing thats just to show off the 3D when its in theaters and to be honest i think its just something to be put in the trailer. (maybe the end scene with some new diologue)
So after a week of comic book movie security slip ups what with The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers and The Amazing Spiderman all being leaked within the same week we have to ask. Are we being to impatient for our trailers let alone our films?

So there you have it. We are in store for a realistic, darker more serious Spiderman and i have to say im very excited. The trailer shows it is not just another Superhero film and is trying to give the charcter more of a back story. They have tried multiple things to get as far away from Raimi's Spiderman films as possible (web shooters, new costume, no mary jane) and its working.
