Hey Josh here giving you some news on Activision and their latest great idea.
So it appears the heads of Activision aren't happy with being the top selling video game franchises ever. They have decided to include a monthly fee for exclusive content that cannot be sold in stores or supplied on the disks. Activision are not yet set on the idea but are leaning towards charging the same as American company Netflix who charge $7.99 to stream movies on your Xbox or PlayStation. The exclusive content is apparently new levels for COD fans to enjoy, you know kinda like DLC but more expensive.
Personally i dont think people are going to like this idea and rightly so. Why pay a constant price month after month for something that you could buy before for a set price and access at any time. Now i know a lot of hardcore COD fans would pay any amount to get their share of new maps seeing as they pay almost double the price of the average DLC.
I think that Activision should be happy with their unstoppable cash machine and stop trying to push the boundaries with their loyal fans. Also with the release with other games e.g. Battlefield 3 and Ghost Recon. Activision should be trying to offer the best deal to attract more people to their franchise.
Comments Below. Would you be willing to pay a fixed fee to access some maps? or would you rather things stay the way they are now?
